Serenade
The world,
like a bare limb
in autumn,
makes room
for a robin
in the nest
of the moon -
bobbing
within her cage
of twigs,
she sings
to the high-walled
sky,
which has
not remembered
to close its door
to a forest of
neighboring
suns.
